OUR MISSION
To provide educational opportunities and support to children from low-income families. We offer after-school programs and tutoring services to help students succeed academically and build a brighter future for themselves.

SEAS at St Brendan is an After-school and Tutoring Program. We are a group committed to break the cycle of poverty, one kid at a time.
Our Story
First generation immigrants have a difficulty breaking the cycle of poverty. Although many of these children were born in the United States or have spent the majority of their adolescence in the US school system, achieving and improving literacy to match their age level is a difficult and on-going challenge. Many of these children do not have parents who have received higher education in their country of origin, in addition, they do not speak English. Therefore, they cannot, even if they want to, help their kids with basic school homework. Literacy is not a priority in their households– survival is. These parents have to work long hours to keep the lights on and put food on the table.
Our goal at SEAS is to come alongside these families and help them get out of survival mode and into a thriving mode by way of after school assistance.
After leaving school, students who come to SEAS, are provided a delicious and nutritious home cooked meal and time of fellowship with other students and volunteers. After their bellies are full of a nutrient dense meal, we provide brain food to help them learn and grow! We partner with Next Generation Focus, a nonprofit organization that provides tutors and teachers to help our kiddos complete their homework and work on areas where they are under performing in school.
